Paperwork Pregnant

I used to think it was kind of weird when people said they were “paper pregnant.” But here we are four years into this thing, one babe home after three adoptions started, one at the beginning stages (Haiti), and this is what it looks like.

I’m weighed down with paperwork.

I don’t know what’s important to keep and what’s not. It’s harder this time around, much like I expect pregnancy would be with a 16-month-old. But, this is adoption. It’s not glamorous. It’s not easy or quick. It’s invasive. It’s laborious. It’s long. It’s hard. But it produces miracles. All of the hard work is so worth it!

So, yeah, we’re “paper pregnant” (longest pregnancy E V E R) and there’s nothing weird about that.
